Meet the Founder, Dr. Heidi Schilter
Dr. Heidi Schilter, founder and CEO of Australia BioMed Careers, is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in the Australian healthcare field. Her journey began during her PhD studies in 2006, in Australia when she started sharing her experiences and helping Brazilian professionals who were still in Brazil, as well as those who had recently arrived in Australia.
Australia BioMed Careers was officially launched in 2022, and since then, Dr. Heidi and her team have been instrumental in helping numerous Brazilian immigrants secure job and career opportunities in the Australian healthcare sector.
Dr. Heidi's qualifications include a background in Biological Sciences from PUC-MG (Brazil) and a PhD in Medicine from the University of New South Wales. She brings a deep understanding of the industry and has worked in various roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including Medical Affairs, research and development, and academic work. Currently, she serves as a scientific advisor at GSK Australia, where she contributes to the scientific excellence of the "specialty and respiratory portfolio."
In addition to her work with Australia BioMed Career, Dr. Heidi is also the founder of The Institute of Medical English, a leading provider of medical education focused on retraining international healthcare professionals to increase their confidence in Medical English and accelerate their career success.
